                                          TRAIN ORDERS March 2019

Our next Group meeting is on Saturday 9th March when we will conduct our Annual General Meeting. The meeting will commence at 11.15 on that date and I include as part of this mailing a copy of the Agenda for our meeting. Please do come along and make your vote count.

Copies of the minutes of the meeting held 18th April 2018 will be available on seats in the Middle Room at the Heritage Centre for your perusal prior to the meeting.

You should have received from Paul Mitchell a copy of the 2019 weekend rota for the operation of North Western Mills layout when the Centre is open to the public. It is understood that the Centre is opening throughout October this year and this matter is something on which we have to reach a decision once we have elected our committee at the AGM.

We are also holding a raffle on Saturday of all the additional prizes we received for the Christmas raffle in December but were too numerous to include on that day. So please do bring plenty of cash for your tickets as there are great prizes to be won. The raffle will follow once the AGM is completed and all ticket sales have been achieved. If you wish to bring further prizes then these will be much appreciated as the proceeds will help to offset the costs of our conversion to Digitrax control of North Western Mills layout.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel the February Ladies Valentine event due to lack of attendees, hopefully we can sort out another time to say thank you to the ladies.

Reports on each of the club layouts will be part of the AGM Agenda but we happy to say that the short circuit problem we had encountered has now been located and eliminated. The fitting of the Digitrax items can now proceed with good speed. Thank you to all those involved.

I can advise that the NCE Command Module, Booster and 2 Throttles have been sold pending separation from the layout but there are still throttles and other items available for purchase. Prices are as advised previously. Five of the UTP’s are earmarked as sold for another purchaser.

We have been advised by Dave Theobold that his email address is changing from 6th March to the following dandhtheo@gmail.com  Can you please update your records?

Please note that some redecoration within North Junction Signal Box is taking place and the corridor may be blocked off so you may find it necessary to use the passageway through the relay room adjoining the gent’s toilet area.

Mike Lenz also informs that the normal access to the clubroom on Wednesdays for a number of weeks will be closed off and he is arranging access via either of the fire door exits from the walking route alongside the Main Line fence. The reason for this is that the Middle Room has been hired by a company for staff training etc.

See you on Saturday 9th.
